What do we offer?
Fresh, seasonal flowers, grown sustainably and locally. Starting with bulbs and branches in spring, through to wreaths and greens in December.

Harvested the very first tulips from the greenhouse experiment today. Short would be an understatement, but long enough to make my first mason jar arrangement for a birthday gift, yay!
Still a ways to go before we have any decent amount of tulips, but the daffs are soon going to pop. So excited to have fresh blooms again!

So many harbingers of spring today, such a glorious day, I didn’t even mind about the wind!
Washing blew on the line, the daffodils are getting taller, tulips appearing everywhere, alliums, bluebells and more
In our veg plot we have rhubarb appearing and today I uncovered the garlic to find I may even have waited too long! They will green up in no time, and so rewarding to start seeing bulbs of all kinds appear

So many harbingers of spring today, such a glorious day, I didn’t even mind about the wind!
Washing blew on the line, the daffodils are getting taller, tulips appearing everywhere, alliums, bluebells and more

In other words, slow down and look around, what’s really wrong, right this second?
Whilst it’s not always the case, the phrase really resonated with me - stop, look listen and breathe. What’s wrong with now?

Now is the perfect time to force some branches and bring a bit of spring indoors
Lilac leaves are starting to swell and in the sunnier spots are opening up a little
Snip a long branch, clean off any spent flowers or dead bits and plunge into a deep vase of water. Put them in your sunniest, warmest spot and keep topped up with water and in 10 days or so, you’ll have beautiful vibrant green leaves. The perfect tonic for the winter weary
I’m possibly a bit late picking them for Easter weekend, but we’ll see - this is a south facing winter and super warm today! 🤞

It’s been a glorious day, but with yet another severe weather statement for tonight, something had to be done with the missing greenhouse panel
It’s a temporary fix for sure, I have to take bits apart for a proper mending job, but let’s hope it keeps things warm and dry inside 🤞

What a glorious weekend! It has felt more like spring today - the greenhouse is open, there are green shoots on the yarrow and even some early tulip shoots. Started as tiny cuttings last September by my father, I somehow managed to keep them alive (I’m not great with inside plants), and now here we are with healthy geranium plants. This is a south facing window, so as much light as possible, and hopefully I’ll have lovely large plants by spring
Gardening really is an exercise in patience and optimism sometimes
